Smallest of three 12″ hydraulic-feed drum-style chippers offered from Bandit. The 12XC is designed to be easy to operate, so operators will get maximum uptime from their machine. With only two knives to maintain and few points requiring grease, the machine’s daily maintenance routine should only take minutes.
The 12XC was built to be light and nimble, but it’s not lacking in power. The 14-foot length and 6-foot 7-inch width means this machine is compact, and at only 4,400 lbs (with gas engine), it can easily be towed by a regular standard-duty pickup truck

Rugged Components Heavy duty, rugged components ensure long life and trouble-free operation, even when chipping the big, tough materials. The chipper drum, housing and shaft are so rugged that they rarely need to be replaced. Bandit offers an industry best 5 year “GUTS warranty on the fabricated components of the chipper drum.
Power Options The 12XC is available with Mitsubishi gas engine options in 49 or 74 horsepower. If your preference is diesel, Kohler 49 or 74 horsepower diesel engines are also offered. Depending on the engine, the drum is engaged by an auto or NACD spring-loaded clutch.
Wide Infeed Openings
Large, sloping infeed hopper and throat openings reduce operator labor and increase production. The 30 3/4” high x 54” wide infeed hopper opening easily accommodates limby material. The infeed hopper slopes down 3 degrees, reducing the effort associated with feeding material up to 12” diameter. The 12 1/4” x 16 1/4” throat opening easily accepts this limby, brushy material.
Feed System
Pivot arm feed system with a powerful horizontal top feed wheel is standard featuring a 32.3 CID hydraulic motor generating 1,632 lbs. of pulling power. The optional hydraulic lift cylinder adds an additional 2,200 pounds of down pressure reducing the need to trim and reposition material to feed the chipper.
