Model 2290

The 2290 track is available as a track unit only and serves as a great solution for those land, right-of-way, and fire prevention operations looking for a highly productive yet easily maneuverable whole tree chipper. Rated as a 20″ capacity machine with engine options available ranging from 350 to 525 horsepower.

[Chip Whole Trees, Tops & Piles of Brush With Limited Prep]
The 2290 efficiently handles tops and forked limbs because of the chipper’s large throat opening and Bandit’s powerful, proven Slide Box Feed System. This system features dual horizontal feed rollers that are 32” wide. The top feed wheel is 27″ in diameter while the bottom feed wheel is 10.625″ diameter, making the unit easier to feed material into the chipper with minimal repositioning.

[Excels at Chipping Large Diameter Materials]
The powerful feed system is powered by (3) 63.9 CID Hydraulic motors and the top feed wheel is chain driven giving this unit approximately 14,429 pounds of pulling power. The feed system generates approximately 2,000 pounds of down pressure without and pressure applied and when utilizing the standard hydraulic lift cylinder an additional 6,440 pounds is added to crush material as it enters the feed wheels.

[Efficiently Load Material]
The 2290 features a wide profile open top infeed hopper making the unit simple and easy to feed. To further assist with loading material onto the hopper, an optional 5 1/2′ infeed conveyor is available

[Discharge Options] The standard discharge is a 270 degree hydraulic rotation which is best utilized for broadcasting chips over a site. For those wanting addition chip throwing velocity, it is recommended to order the optional forestry discharge.

[Optional Loader]
For those desiring a loader mounted on the 2290, a loader manufactured by Bandit or Kesla is available as an option. The Bandit loader provides 135 degrees of rotation while the Kesla offers 360 degree rotation. When ordered, the loader can either be controlled by a radio remote control, or a roomy operator’s cab for additional operator comfort.
